Painting light and form
Working from his studio in Wiltshire, Steve Foster creates contemporary oil paintings inspired by the colour, structure and transience of the natural world.
His close-cropped floral compositions use light, shadow and reflection to transform familiar forms into immersive encounters. Flowers are shown at the height of their presence, moments before time alters them.
